Scenes and Signs From Saturday’s Sanctuary City Rally

A wind chill that had temps hovering around 15 degrees wasn’t enough to deter hundreds from gathering outside Somerville High School for Saturday morning’s “We Are One Somerville: Sanctuary City Rally.”

In between chants of “This is what community looks like!” and bites of international fare from Somerville Arts Council Nibble entrepreneurs, attendees listened to speeches from city officials including Mayor Curtatone and community members like the Welcome Project executive director Ben Echevarria, along with immigrant students at Somerville High School.
