Check out our May/June edition, out this week, for a profile of guerrilla gardeners like Brian Burke and Hannah Peterson, pictured here.

Scout Somerville is currently accepting pitches and submissions for its July/August 2016 issue, which will be the 40th issue of Scout! In addition to news about what’s going on in our community now, we’re looking for stories that reflect our history—profiles of the people and places that make Somerville great, guides for both residents and visitors about getting the most out of the city, nods to the unsung or under-appreciated in the community who are deserving of mention.

Please send your pitches to scout@scoutmagazines.com or submit them through our online contact form by Sunday, May 8.

Scout is always accepting story ideas and submissions from talented writers, journalists and photographers looking to contribute to the magazine. Whether you’ve taken some photos you’d like us to consider publishing, have a story idea you want to see in the print magazine or are interested in writing a community blog post for our website, you can send your ideas (along with relevant writing samples) to scout@scoutmagazines.com.
