While #TheFrontStepsProject is on hold, Scout is introducing a new, fun way to stay connected in a world that is distancing!
We are excited to kick off a series of Zoom classes featuring locals on Monday, May 4.
While the classes are all free, we will be setting a fundraising goal at the beginning of each session that we hope to meet by the end of the hour, and share ways you can contribute to Scout along the way. Learn more about our other fundraising efforts here.
To sign up for any of these classes, email Holli at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of the class in the subject line. On the day of the class, you will receive an email with the Zoom meeting information.
|1 PM, May 4||Photography Basics With Sasha and Adrianne|
This class is benefiting Scout and our lovely staff photographers Sasha and Adrianne, who have been donating their time and energy throughout the stay-at-home advisory.
Adrianne will begin the class by going through How To Use Manual Mode on your digital camera — a tricky, but rewarding process for beginners. No camera? No problem! Sasha will then take over and teach you How To Make The Most of Your Phone Camera. Afterwards, they will tag-team to teach you How To Set Up The Shot — whether it’s a portrait, a candid, or a landscape.
|1 PM, May 5||Cinco De Mayo Cooking Class with Cambridge School of Culinary Arts|
This class is benefitting Scout and the wonderful small business owners of the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.
As vibrant and exciting as the country’s culture, authentic Mexican food is famous around the world for its bold flavors and elaborate ties to festivals and events. Commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla with a fun night of cooking as we recreate some of Mexico’s most authentic and memorable dishes! We will prepare: chalupas (one of the most popular snacks in Central Mexico) and churros with spicy chocolate sauce for dessert.
