Bronwyn’s killer door in Union Square

Tim Weichmann, chef and owner of the highly anticipated Bronwyn in Union Square, says he hopes to open the spot “within the next 45 days.” In fact, he was busy painting the restaurant’s light-blue exterior and entrance this afternoon.


For the record, it’s one helluva door.

Located at the former Ronnarong Thai Tapas bar space, Bronwyn landed on Eater‘s national “Most Anticipated Opening” list thanks to Weichmann’s mouth-watering sneak peek of “unique hand twisted Bavarian Sausages like Miltwurst and Currywurst, to exciting artisan breads –rye Bier bread, giant Pretzels, Honey-Poppy Challah –to northern Italian noodles and dumplings” on Bronwyn’s Facebook page.

After a few setbacks at the spot located at 255 Washington St., owners hope to open the restaurant in late March/early April.
