Hot Tamales Pop-Up Brunch! A Taste of Culinary Entrepreneurship
December 6, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm$10
FOR ONE DAY ONLY Estela Caldeza (Somerville Resident, Tu y Yo alum, and star Nibble Cooking Instructor) will be partnering with the Somerville Arts Council to try her hand at pop-up brunch at Kitchen Inc., featuring piping hot tamales and spiced Mexican coffee. This will be her third pop-up restaurant at the culinary incubator space, but her first breakfast event!
Estela will be offering 2 fresh Tamales and a homemade beverage for just $10, available first come first serve.
Tamale options are: Oxaquenos (chicken seasoned with yerba santa and chiles, wrapped in banana leaves), Mole (chicken with Estela’s famous mole sauce), or sweet Mexican chocolate tamale. Wash it all down with an authentic Cafe de la Olla (coffee sweetened with piloncillo and spiced with cinnamon and orange zest) or a warm cup of Ponche (a hot holiday punch featuring hibiscus tea with apples, tamarind, and cinnamon). Que Rico!
Our doors open at 9am — line up early to satisfy your culinary cravings — and support Estela’s culinary dreams. You know what they say – the early bird gets the tamale!
