For a little over a week now, Scout staff photographers Sasha Pedro and Adrianne Mathiowetz, as well as photographer Amanda Macchia, have been driving all over town to photograph families from a safe distance as a part of #TheFrontStepsProject.
#TheFrontStepsProject, started by photographer Cara Soulia in Needham, is a way of fostering connection, documenting the people of the community during this time of separation, and raising awareness for Scout’s fundraising efforts—all from the safety of home.
This project has been instrumental in raising funds to keep Scout running, and is a way for us to continue telling the stories of our community. Not only do these photos make a great addition to any family’s mantel, they are an important piece of photojournalism in the time of COVID-19.
The sessions last about 5 minutes, and you are emailed your photos the next day. While we’d love to share these photos, any participant can opt out.
To sign up to have your photo taken, email publisher Holli at firstname.lastname@example.org.
