Aeronaut NYE 2018 + Bottle Club Launch
Aeronaut is using New Year’s as a chance to launch its new bottle club, a monthly subscription to the brewery’s latest works. The subscribers, known as “Lawnchair Professionals,” and their guests will get access to the brewery’s 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. party. You can subscribe on the event page for $90. Or, if you’re more of a casual beer drinker, the early part of Aeronaut’s party (6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) can be your pregame for the evening. The $25 ticket includes two pours.
New Year’s Eve at backbar! 2018!
Backbar is throwing not one, but two New Year’s Eve parties. A $50 ticket to the Pre-Party-Punch-Party (5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) includes three cups of punch and small bites. The later party (9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.) costs $100 and includes three cocktails, snacks, and a champagne toast.
New Year’s Eve at Brass Union
Brass Union’s motto this New Year’s? “Let’s kick 2017 to the curb.” This party will offer up a DJ and a midnight toast. Getting dressed up is encouraged but not required. The party runs from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and tickets are $15, cash only, at the door.
New Year’s Eve at Saloon
You can ring in the new year with whiskey, music, and style at Saloon’s New Year’s bash. The party runs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and includes a complimentary champagne toast. Tickets are $20.
Bonus Event: 242nd Grand Union Flag Raising on Prospect Hill
This isn’t a New Year’s Eve event, but it is a time-honored New Year’s tradition in Somerville. Every Jan. 1, the city holds a reenactment of the raising of the first United States flag, which happened on New Year’s Day 1776. Guests are “encouraged to wear traditional colonial clothing” and there will be light refreshments. The event starts at 11:30 a.m.
