Music, movies and more in this weekend’s Scout Picks.

All Weekend
Irish Film Festival Boston
Somerville Theatre
55 Davis Sq.
We gave you a heads up about the Irish Film Festival Boston in our St. Patrick’s Day roundup, but thought you could probably use a little reminder. The four-day film extravaganza kicked off yesterday with Gold (starring Game of Thrones‘ Masie Williams) and continues through this Sunday. Tickets sold out last night, so you’ll want to reserve your seats for the rest of the weekend here ASAP. Check out the festival preview below!

Saturday, 3/21
Pets in Need Adoption Event
12-2 p.m., Free
Pets in Need Shelter
2 Bradley St.
Have some time on your paws this weekend? Want to be a good samaritan? Somerville-based animal shelter Pets in Need is hosting an adoption event at their Bradley Street location this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Stop by and fall in love with one of these adorable felines in need.

Atari Punk Console Workshop
1-3 p.m., $20
Parts and Crafts
577 Somerville Ave.
We’re not technologically savvy (we just liked that this event had “punk” in the name) so we’ll let Parts and Crafts explain it to you: “Atari Punk Console is a popular circuit that uses two 555 timers to make a simple synthesizer.  Brandon Hockle will lead this intro electronics workshop—make one and take it home with you!” Class is $15 members and $20 for non-members.

Sunday, 3/22
Hardcore Helps the Homeless
8 p.m., $10
O’Brien’s Pub
3 Harvard Ave., Allston
Head into Allston on Sunday for a hardcore show to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition. Ten bucks gets you in the door for sets from LunglustKimachiEmpty VesselsVultures and Mass Graves. Let’s open this pit up… for charity.
