SCOUT PICKS: 3/27/15-3/29/15

This is the only way we could fit radio drama, a farmers market and bunny cupcakes all in one post.

Friday, 3/27

Taraf de Locos
8:30 p.m., $15-$20
Third Life Studio
33 Union Square
This five-piece band comes to us all the way from San Fransisco and plays tunes with influences from Turkey to Cuba. They recently released a self-titled item and are stopping in Somerville on their way around the country.

Spring Adventure Spectacular
8 p.m., $12-$15
Responsible Grace Church
204 Elm St.
The Post-Meridian Radio Players are a group of writers, actors and generally interested folks who are committed to preserving the art of radio drama. This weekend is the last opportunity to catch their Spring Adventure Spectacular (there are also performances at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday). They’ll be performing two acts: The Mysterious Traveler and The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Saturday, 3/28

Somerville Winter Farmers Market
9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Center for Arts at the Armory
191 Highland Ave.
We’re all breathing a sigh of relief as winter slithers back to the evil cave that it came from, but with the debut of spring, we’re also saying goodbye to Somerville’s Winter Farmers Market. This is your last chance to take a tour around the Armory to catch your favorite local and regional vendors all in one place. Don’t get too worried, though. We’ll be exploring Somerville’s summer markets in our next print issue.

Aduino Day
1-4 p.m., Free
Artisan’s Asylum
10 Tyler St.
Arduino Day is an international that celebrates the open-source computer hardware by bringing communities together in the spirit of progress through open technology. Come check out Aduino projects at Artisan’s Asylum, or bring something to the Somerville Tool Library (577 Somerville Ave.) to use their household tools and their “MaKey MaKey,” a tool that turns everyday objects into touch pads.

Sunday, 3/29

Pretty Things Welcomes Spring
3-6 p.m., Free admission
The Independent
75 Union Square
Yes, spring is finally here, and Pretty Things is kicking things off at The Independent. The brewery will be celebrating the release of their seasonal brew, Fluffy White Rabbits.
