Somerville-based OnStage Dance Company will host a day of free dance and fitness classes open to the public on Saturday to celebrate National Dance Day.
National Dance Day is an annual event created by So You Think You Can Dance and the Dizzy Feet Foundation to “encourage Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and fight obesity,” according to the event website.
OnStage Dance Company will hold thirty-minute long dance and fitness classes in a variety of styles, including: Yoga (mats provided!), Pop Jazz, Music Video Dance, Contemporary, Swing, Latin Rhythms, and more!
That’s right, a Science Fair, like with tri-fold posterboards, dioramas, and fizzy volcanoes… but Asylum-style. What this means: a fun and social event, where art & science tend to get a little crazy.
