Nike Factory Store Grand Opening

The Outlets at Assembly Row, 300 Artisan Way

Nike’s newest factory retail location will open at The Outlets at Assembly Row on Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. with grand opening events taking place through Sunday, May 18. As part of the celebration, Nike will offer a free gift to the first 200 shoppers each day and host an enter-to-win gift card giveaway at the new store.

Lenny Clarke returns to Davis Square!

Clarke was the most famous “saloon comic” in Boston during the 1980s, the heyday of the Boston comedy scene. Since his early days in Boston, Clarke starred in his own short-lived network sitcom Lenny (1990), and in such TV shows as Contest Searchlight, The Job, The John Larroquette Show and It’s All Relative and movies like Monument Ave., Fever Pitch and Southie. From 2004 to 2011, Clarke appeared in the recurring role of Uncle Teddy on the FX comedy-drama Rescue Me.

Join us for a celebration of Polish subculture in honor of the Patron Saint of Poland, St. Stanislaus, who was martyred for his courageous stance against the unbridled lust, savage cruelty, and acts of rapacity of the Polish King Boleslaus II. No matter whose side you take in that argument, come dressed in red and white for an evening of polkas, pierogies & Polish beer.

Boston Song & Performance Art Man, Michael Atkinson, will be bringing his unique brand of ‘art-comedy’ to the Davis Square Theatre in this one of a kind theatrical event. With an ecletic mix of talentjoining him onstage: Boston pop rockgroup: Air Traffic Controller, sci-fi comedy podcast Hadron Gospel Hour, Kevin Harrington, Matt Chaves, Anthony Scibelli, Sarah Blodgett, PJ Brown, Donhead, Brian White, Lisa McQuilkin and more to be announced…it promises to be an ‘otherworldly’ night at the theatre.

Mystic River Herring Run and Paddle
9 am – 3 pm, $22+
Blessing of the Bay, 32 Shore Drive

The annual Herring Run and Paddle includes a 5K run/walk race, three paddling races (3, 9, and 12 miles), educational booths, children’s activities, and more. All events are held at the DCR Blessing of the Bay Boathouse in Somerville. The 5K course continues along the Mystic River bike path and through DCR Torbert MacDonald Park.
