The Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, Cynthia Woods, Music Director, presents the Cambridge Symphony Chamber Players, performing chamber music by Brahms, Ravel and others. The chamber music is free and open to the public.


Squeezebox Slam

This is a celebration, of accordions, button boxes and other free standing reed instruments. As with the first festival, accordionists of all skill levels and musical genres are invited to stroll around the neighborhoods of Somerville, sharing their melodious sounds, and like pied pipers from an alternative fairy tale, beckon all to come and follow them as they head to Davis Square for a concert of some of New England’s finest squeezebox players. So dust off your grandfather’s squeezebox that’s been sitting in the attic and join us for an afternoon of pumping the bellows! Accordion themed art/crafts will be for sale. Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest is a unique event that not only showcases local beverage producers, but also showcases local brews incorporating local ingredients. SBN’s definition of local starts in Massachusetts and encompasses all of New England. Hyper-Local means local producers (from New England) making products with ingredients from New England. Examples in the past have included brews made with local hops, apples, cranberries, grapes and even local oysters. While having unlimited 2oz tastings from local brewers, you can also sample and purchase delicious local food from vendors like Vermont Smoke and Cure, Taza Chocolate, and more.
