Scout Supporter of the Day: Dana

Our Scout Supporter of the Day is Dana!

While Dana lives in Medford now, she was a Somerville resident for over a decade.

“I always loved reading Scout,” she says. “I appreciated the focus on what was happening in my neighborhood, with my neighbors. It helped me feel more connected with the community I was living in and serving every day.”

She says that she feels very privileged that she and her husband Nick have been able to keep their jobs and work from home, “although honestly it’s been a struggle to get any work done while wrangling a toddler. What helps us stay sane is allowing each other time away from the family. Nick takes drives and blasts music or a podcast, and I’ll go for run or walk and do the same. Sometimes you need alone time!”

Her go-to meal during the stay-at-home advisory has been sheet pan fajitas: “easy to make from frozen chicken, veggies, and all the spices, and easy to clean up!” She says.

“Oh, and lots of mac’n’cheese for our little dude. He’s carbo loading. #toddlerdiet.”
