Chef Wyatt Maguire, formerly the executive chef at Menton Restaurant, is the newest member of the Posto staff. Maguire will be bringing his talent and skills from Boston to Somerville to transform Posto into an Italian decadency.
In addition, Alec Riveros, the former general manager of Menton, has also been welcomed as the new operations director. Riveros will serve both Posto and its sister restaurant, The Painted Burro, together known as the Alpine Restaurant Group.
The fresh changes to the restaurant are due to efforts made by restaurant owner Joseph Cassinelli to prove that Posto is more than “just a pizzeria,” but rather a home for numerous Italian specialties.
Posto is also re-inventing their menu to provide a new selection of antipasti, wood-fired entrées and handmade pasta, as well as new cocktails and pitchers.
The renovated menu will be debuted sometime this week. –Jen Morgan
