Harvest Festival: Somerville Reads 2019

Celebrate Somerville Reads during our Harvest Festival! 

1:00-3:00 Library Lawn: Pumpkin carving for adults. Feeling competitive? The carving most inspired by the Haunting of Hill House wins a prize! Supplies are limited so arrive at 1:00 to ensure pick of the pumpkins.

1:00-3:00 Library Auditorium:  Pumpkin painting for children. Spookiest pumpkin of all wins a picture book donated by Candlewick Press.

3:00-5:00 Come learn how to harvest late-season produce and put the gardens to bed for the winter! Our Green City Growers farmer will lead this hands on workshop.

This program is offered as part of the 2019 Somerville Reads campaign. Somerville Reads is a citywide reading initiative that encourages the Somerville community to read and discuss the same book to promote literacy and community engagement.
