Unfortunately, the midnight madness screenings of Rocky Horror ended in Harvard Square in 2012. But this year, @MoonboxProductions brought it back with a live performance of "The Rocky Horror Show" on Brattle Street in the old Hidden Sweets building. "[The show] gives people permission to let it all go and let the freak flag fly for anything," says Peter Mill, who plays Dr. Frank-N-Furter. "There are people from every walk of life who love the show. All of those things that society tells you to suppress in day to day life, you get to live them for an evening.” 📸: @sharmanaltshuler

The actors of Shit-Faced Shakespeare stage hour-long adaptations of Shakespeare plays with one important twist: A single cast member is inebriated. Not tipsy, not buzzing, but truly blotto. Whether it’s comedy or tragedy or history, from the moment the curtain rises to when it falls, that cast member plays their part drunk. Shit-Faced Shakespeare took home this year's Scout's Honored award for the best performing arts group in Somerville, and it's easy to see why.
